June Christmas shopping RE-DO

Boo to Walmart.com.

For my daughter's Christmas gift in June I had it shipped to the store for me to pick up. We live in the middle of nowhere so this Walmart (the closest) is about an hour away. The other day we were going out of town so I told thy hubby to stop so I could pick up the gift. I ran inside and waited, and waited. They were slammed, I could find noone to ask, so I left. We have to go back in about a week in a half to pick up the swing set so I figured it could just wait.

Wellllll, apparently not. I got two emails today stating that because I hadnt picked up the item, my money has been refunded. Boo to walmart. They said I could reorder the item if I wanted but for now, the item is no longer waiting for me to pick it up. I went to redorder however it has gone off sale so now its like a couple dollars more.

This morning I was browsing the site and the toys and decided against buying the same gift. I instead got her a Sing-a-ma-Jig and an Elmo book. I spent $10.91. Im happy with my purchase. I know she will love both of those gifts.

So there ya have it...I had to Re-Do my June Christmas shopping.

July Christmas Shopping+Good news

This month for Christmas shopping I need to buy for my two 9 year old nieces plus my daughter.

I asked their mom what they would like because 9 year old girls are hard to shop for, in my opinion...
She gave a few ideas but I decided Ill just get them gift cards to their favorite store. That way they can get what they want and plus, they live in a different state so Ill have to ship the gifts. Giftcards ship very cheap compared to toys! haha So they each got a $20 giftcard to Justice, their favorite store.

As for my daughter, my goal is to spend $10 a month on her for Christmas. I just so happened to have gotten 3 $20 gift cards to http://www.wowmykidsspace.com/. So $60 for free! Wowza! Shipping is 6.95 and the gift cards dont cover the shipping. I think Im just going to get 3 items, suck up the nearly $21 (I think the purchases have to be separate for the GC's. If not, then Im combining for a single 6.95 shipping) for shipping and be done with Christmas shopping for my daughter this month. How awesome! huh?! We of course will need to get stocking stuffers and her gift from Santa so Ill will probably just get those in August or September. Its such a relief to know that my Christmas shopping is nearly done!

Here are the 3 items I am going to get my daughter from http://www.wowmykidsspace.com/

She loves shoes and boots so she will Fa-lip when she see's these adorable boots.

She loves babies. She rocks them and says 'sh sh sh' as she rocks. It melts my heart. She will adore this baby doll.

She loves colors, numbers, and letters. These letters are magnetic so she can play with them on the fridge. I love that they're a toy to her but their a learning activity to me.

Anyways, there ya have it!! July Christmas shopping. Done!

Using the emergency fund.

We have to dip into the E fund this week. =( Kev gets paid on Friday but I need gas and we need milk. Oh well, that is what it's there for right?
It'll be replaced promptly Friday morning.

On a much brighter note, I start week 3 of TurboFire this week. Im super excited. Here are my weights so far:
Starting weight/Week 1: 164.4
Start of Week 2: 162.6
Start of Week 3: 162.4 (as of yesterday)

I weighed myself yesterday morning. I barely drank any water the day/night before and I felt pretty bloated. So I think next week Im going to have another (atleast) 2 pound drop. Hopefully...

Im also measuring myself too. I've lost 6.75 inches in two weeks! Awesome!!!

If you havent checked out Myfitnesspal.com, you should. Its a great website and keeps me motivated to be and stay healthy.

Sorry Ive been such a loser...

Sorry Ive been such a loser and not blogging much lately.
We are still saving money and paying off debt. We havent gotten off track with that...just the blog.

Updates on the moola
Since we paid about $1300 towards our credit card, money is tight. Like really tight. Like omg we may need to dip into the E-fund tight. Hopefully we dont have to. Kevin gets paid on July 1st so that is in 7 days. My only concerns with the money is groceries and gas. I have about a half tank in my car but that wont last long, Ill probably need to get gas on monday or tuesday. As for groceries, we need milk, bread, cheese, veggies, yogurt, and I think we should be good for the 7 days. Oh and chicken too...gotta have some chicken! =)

My brother's 20th Bday is on Saturday. Im having a get together at our place for him. Im making spaghetti for dinner, I already have hamburger (deer burger) so Ill need to get spaghetti sauce and noodles, possibly mushrooms if Im feelin' frisky. hehe My sister in law is bringing cake and ice cream and my dad is bringing garlic bread and salad. Perfect potluck birthday din din.

As for his gift, not entirely too sure what to get him since money is so tight. I have $74.61 in the checking account. Oy... I think Ill just tell him the truth, we're broke and Ill get him a gift in a week. I just really do NOT want to dip into the E-fund. Especially for a stupid birthday gift.

Updates on working out
My friend recently got TurboFire in the mail. She ordered it and was so excited to start it. That same day another TurboFire landed on her door step?? So she asked if I wanted to buy it for $100. It's normally around $160 ish. I talked to Kev and she agreed that she will just add $25 to each daycare bill til it's paid. Talk about a good friend =) So We are currently doing TurboFire together. (Since then she has received a third TurboFire...yep. No clue what she did)

I started TurboFire on Monday June 13th. I LOVE it. TurboFire is like a dancey kickboxing class. The dvd's range from 15 minutes to 60 minutes. It comes with a 20 week calender that tells you exactly what DVD to do on what day. You get one rest day, Wednesday. I love that I dont have to think about what DVD to put in, it tells you. Also the music is super upbeat and fun. The workouts make me drip sweat, seriously, within the first 10 minutes usually Im pouring sweat. It's gross but oh so satisfying!

Hi, Im Summer and Im addicted to TurboFire. No really, I am.

The first week, I lost 2 pounds.
I have 2.5 pounds to go then Im treating myself to a pedicure.

Yep, every 5 pounds I lose, I get an extra special treat =)

So there is a recap of my life. TurboFire and still saving money.

Birthday Party Changes

So the location I was originally planning on throwing Monkey's bday party is going to be closed during the weekends this summer. If I want to have a 'private' party, I could pay $100. Which is $30 more than what I budgeted. Our solution.

The party will be at our house. So here is the deal. Kevin and I have been planning to buy Monkey a swingset in July. This is going to be a family gift. I found a cheap but decent one at walmart for $399. My parents are going to put in $100. My sister in law has already given $30. And my husbands parents will probably give 50-100. My brother and his wife will probably give 25. The rest will be coved by Kev and I. We plan to put some playground bark down and build a sandbox. The expected price tag $500 ish for everything. (Probably less)

I know, I know. Some of you are probably falling out of your chairs right now. Why would you spend that much money on her? LALALALALA
I can just hear the gasps. haha

We obviously do not jump for joy at the thought of $500 but this will be something we will have for years and years. It will be a one time purchase.
Anyways. This will all be set up and done by mid July at the latest.

Monkeys bday party will be August 13th. I figure I will just set up our pool and slip n slide (which we have both) and the kids can have a field day playing outside and on the swingset. Ill get some fingerfood and we'll be set.

So there ya have it. The birthday party has changed and it'll probably be cheaper than having it at the first location.

My gym.

Is 30 minutes away.

We live in the middle of nowhere so I have to drive 30 minutes to get to the gym. Thankfully since I work for the police department, I get to use the entire gym for free! Even the classes are free! However, I cannot justify spending the gas money when I could just do a workout video or go for a walk or a run.

June and July Im working alot of 8am to 6pm shifts, 3 a week to be exact. So....If I pack my bag and lunch the night before I can get up at 5:25am, get dressed and head to the gym for a nice workout. I can be there by 6am. I will be able to workout for an hour and 15 minutes and then Ill just shower there and get dressed and go to work. The gym is only 2 blocks from the police department.

Im excited. I only have a tredmill at home. It was free. It's old. It clunks. It would wake up my family.
So, I can go to the gym, used the elliptical and then pop in on the 630 am spin class or just work on another machine. Yay for free gym memberships! haha

This morning I woke up at 530 and by the time I got going out the door it was 545. I planned on doing the 4.5 mile loop around my house, running and walking. I did it. It took about 60 minutes. My shins are killing me. My arches are killing me. Im falling apart...

But YAY for free gym memberships!

June Christmas Shopping-Done

Im so thrilled that I got my June Christmas shopping done. Such a relief to know that Im going to be more than prepared this Christmas.

This month I had to shop for my sister in law and her husband plus monkey. I did really well!

I got my sister in law tons of stuff from Bath and Body works. They're having a pretty good sale right now. I spent $19.98 on her plus the $6.99 shipping. (Everything was regularly $39, so Im so happy that I got it all on sale for $19.98!!)

I got my brother in law a $25 gift card to Sports Authority. I never know what to get the guys so they always end up with gift cards! haha The shipping for the gift card was free.

Lastly, I got Monkey a 40 pack of Pink MegaBlocks from Walmart. I spent $9.97. The shipping was free because I did the free site to store shipping.

So there ya have it! June Christmas shopping-DONE! =)
